35+ Years Expertise

Decades of fine woodworking experience serving Bay Area clients with precision craftsmanship and reliable project delivery.

Custom Cabinet Making Process

Our cabinet making process starts with precision. We create detailed technical drawings that ensure every element fits exactly as it should.

Cabinet Installation

This isn't about guessing or making adjustments on site. It's about engineering your cabinetry correctly from the start. The drawing process typically involves two or three revisions until you can visualize exactly what the finished product will look like.

  • Detailed technical drawings for every project
  • 2-3 revision rounds before fabrication
  • Precise measurements for appliance integration
  • Visual confirmation before building begins

We work with interior designers, contractors, and homeowners throughout Northern California, with most projects in the Bay Area – Pacific Heights, downtown San Francisco, Bernal Heights, Marin County (San Rafael, Tiburon), Berkeley, and Palo Alto. Each project receives the same meticulous attention whether it's a single bathroom vanity or a complete home.

Kitchen Cabinetry

Custom kitchen cabinets transform how you use your space daily. We build kitchens that combine beautiful design with practical functionality, using premium materials and hardware that perform flawlessly for decades.

Our kitchen cabinetry includes:

  • Custom base and wall cabinets designed for your exact layout
  • Pantry systems that maximize storage and organization
  • Island cabinetry with integrated seating and specialty storage
  • Precise appliance integration – refrigerators, ranges, hoods fit perfectly

We use only high-quality hardware – soft-close hinges and drawer slides are standard. For clients who want the ultimate in modern convenience, we can integrate premium features like electric push-to-open mechanisms. The hardware we specify isn't an afterthought; it's engineered into the design from the beginning.

The finish quality sets our work apart. We use conversion varnish for all painted and stained finishes. It costs slightly more than standard finishes, but the results are superior and the durability is exceptional. This matters for your warranty and for how your cabinets look years from now.

Bathroom Vanities & Cabinetry

  • Custom-sized for your exact space
  • Accommodates specific plumbing configurations
  • Seamless integration with sinks and faucets
  • Durable finishes for humid environments

Bathroom cabinetry requires the same precision as kitchens, often in tighter spaces with more plumbing constraints. We design and build custom bathroom vanities and storage that maximize every inch while creating the refined aesthetic you want.

We work with designers and contractors to ensure everything integrates seamlessly – from undermount sinks to wall-mount faucets to medicine cabinets with integrated lighting.

Custom Furniture & Millwork

Beyond cabinetry, we create custom furniture and architectural millwork that adds character and functionality to your home.

Walking closets with custom organization systems

Laundry room and utility room cabinetry
 Custom millwork and trim details

Each piece is designed specifically for your space and built to the same exacting standards as our cabinetry.

Custom desks and home office furniture

Built-in bookshelves and entertainment centers
 Floating shelves with concealed mounting

Cabinet Refacing

Sometimes your existing cabinets are structurally sound but the style no longer fits your vision. Cabinet refacing gives you a completely new look without the cost and disruption of full replacement.

Our refacing process includes:

New doors and drawer fronts in your chosen style
 Updated finish on cabinet frames
 New premium hardware

We'll assess your existing cabinetry honestly and recommend whether refacing or new construction makes the most sense for your situation and budget.

Materials & Craftsmanship

The quality of materials directly impacts how your cabinets perform and age. We source premium hardwoods and can obtain exotic or specialty materials when your project calls for something unique.

  • Premium hardwoods selected for grain and quality
  • Conversion varnish finishes for superior durability
  • Soft-close hardware on all drawers and doors as standard
  • High-end specialty hardware when specified

We don't cut corners on materials or construction. The cabinets we build today will serve you well for 20, 30, even 40 years. That longevity comes from using the right materials and building things correctly from the start.

The Design & Build Process

1. Initial Consultation (No Cost)

We visit your space, take measurements, and discuss your needs, style preferences, and budget. This conversation covers everything from how you use your kitchen to what specific features matter most to you.

2. Technical Drawings & Design

We create detailed technical drawings that show exactly how everything will fit and function. The drawing fee (typically 10% of the project) is credited toward your project total when you proceed.

3. Material Selection

We review wood species, finish options, hardware choices, and any specialty materials. You'll see samples and make informed decisions about what goes into your cabinets.

4. Fabrication

Once drawings are approved and deposit received, we build your cabinets in our San Francisco workshop. Project duration varies based on scope – typically 15 days to 2 months.

5. Quality Inspection

You're welcome to visit our workshop to see your cabinets during fabrication. This allows you to inspect the work and verify details before final finishing and delivery.

6. Installation

Installation is quoted separately. We can handle installation, or you can use your own contractor's crew. Either way, the cabinets are built to precise specifications.

Pricing & Payment

Every project is custom-priced based on your specific requirements. After the initial consultation, we provide a detailed estimate.

Typical Payment Schedule:

Our Commitment:

We maintain transparency about costs. If material prices or tariffs change significantly during your project timeline, we'll discuss any necessary adjustments.

No Minimum Project Size. We accept projects of all sizes. A smaller project today often leads to larger projects later, and we value the opportunity to demonstrate our craftsmanship regardless of project scope.

Warranty & Maintenance

We stand behind our work with a one-year warranty covering:

  • Materials and wood quality
  • Conversion varnish finish
  • Hardware performance
  • Workmanship
After the warranty period, we offer tune-up services (adjusting doors, straightening hinges, etc.) for a service fee. Proper maintenance keeps your cabinets functioning perfectly for decades.
